TeraStation Defragmentation

Created 06/01/2012 15:26  |   Updated 06/12/2012 13:29

The TeraStation use the XFS file system, which uses online defragmentation to keep the drive constantly fragment free.
It also features allocate-on-flush, which batches clusters together for slowly growing files to help prevent fragmentation.

So, the TeraStation does have defragmentation, but users do not need to manually implement it.
